Overseas Loan
By the end of 2004, Xi¡¯an had accumulative actual overseas loans of 330 million US Dollars including foreign governmental loans from 11 countries, international financial organization loans from 3 organizations and international commercial loans, all of which had been invested in the field of urban infrastructure, inclusive of water supply, gas supply, telecommunication and sewage disposal. The key projects, which are being or will be implemented, include the Second Phase of Natural Gas of Urban Use Projects (Spanish government loan), the First Phase Project of Urban Environmental Comprehensive Treatment Projects (Japanese Loan), Urban Communication Projects (the 3rd ring road system, loan from Asian Development Bank) and the Second Phase Projects of Urban Environmental Comprehensive Treatment Projects (Japanese loan). The contracted foreign loans amounted to 500 US Dollars million approximately.
